MyPhone’s RIO line of devices has been known for its affordable price along with better hardware specs than devices for other series of the same price range. However this time, MyPhone will have to put up its pricing a little bit for the LTE variant.
The new MyPhone RIO LTE is a 4.5-inch Android 4.4 (KitKat) device running on a 1.3GHz Quad-core processor. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and a built-in 4 GB storage. It supports microSD card with capacities of up to 32 GB. As a standard in today’s devices, the RIO LTE is equipped with a 5 Megapixel main camera on the back and a 2 Megapixel camera on the front.
As expected, the RIO LTE supports our band of LTE networks for faster data connection speed than the usual HSPA+ offers. But if you’re in an area where LTE connection isn’t available, the device will automatically switch to the more familiar HSPA+, 3G or at time on a GPRS data connection. Out of the box the RIO LTE comes with Android 4.4 KitKat and works under a 1,700 mAh battery.
The MyPhone RIO LTE is priced at 6,499 Php which is a bit higher than what they have offered previously, but it’s still affordable considering its LTE capabilities which is a huge advantage over HSPA+ speeds. The device will be available in MyPhone stores, kiosks and partner retail outlets nationwide.
