The Department of Health (DOH) issued COVID-19 Bulletin No. 208 on October 08, 2020. This bulletin reports 2,363 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
With this number together with yesterday’s figure, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country is now at 331,869 with a Death toll of 6,069 after 144 new reported deaths were added.
This bulletin also reports a total of 697 new recoveries that makes our total number of recoveries to 274,318.
With these figures calculated, the country now has a total of 51,482 active COVID-19 cases on record. More info about this Bulletin is detailed in the infographic down below:
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
