More businesses allowed to operate under GCQ areas including cinemas and video game arcades

As part of economic reopening, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) is allowing more businesses to resume in operation including the reopening of cinemas and video game arcades in areas under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Apart from the two industries mentioned, the IATF also includes the following businesses to reopen:

• Driving Schools
• Libraries, archives, museums and cultural centers
• Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibits
• Social events at accredited establishments of the Department of Tourism however limited
• Tourist attractions such as parks, natural sites and historical landmarks are given the authorization to operate under limited capacities.

This authorization to operate will be subject to final guidelines that will be set by the Department of Health and the local governments and is expected to start by February 15 Monday.
