Mid-range Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus now official with 21:9 display
Sony this year relaunched its Xperia devices with specific marketing strategy and a new naming schemes. Gone are the X’s and A’s as the new Xperia devices are focusing with Numerics and such. It begun with the introduction of the new Xperia 1 which provides that best technology that Sony can provide not only with their users but for potential customers as well.

While the Xperia 1 is definite for the tech savvy and premium users, Sony also has the new Xperia 10 and the Xperia 10 Plus for the mid-range market. In addition to that Sony also includes the new Xperia L3 with its naming seems is a leftover of its previous generation and will cover the entry-level market.
Xperia 10 Plus

The new Xperia 10 Plus is Sony’s top-tier device for the mid-range market with design and features closely similar to its Premium Xperia 1. It has a large 6.5-inch IPS LCD display and features 21:9 aspect ratio in 1080p+ resolution.
The phone comes with dual camera sensor on the back sporting 12MP primary camera and an 8MP depth sensor. It features Sony’s SteadyShot and takes 4K videos both in 16:9 and 21:9 formats.
On the front, you’ll get a standard 8MP Selfie camera with basically the same features as the Xperia 1.
The Xperia 10 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset with with 8-core processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Its memory expansion slot can accept up to 512GB of microSD cards.
Keeping the lights on is a 3000mAh embedded battery and it runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.
Xperia 10

Smaller but still all capable, the new Xperia 10 sport a not that small display at 6-inch. It’s an IPS LCD panel and also features 21:9 aspect ratio.
For photography, the new handset comes with a pair of 13MP primary camera and 5MP depth sensor on the back. It can also record in 4K and features SteadyShot. On the front, you’ll get the same 8MP Selfie camera which can hold its own.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 powers the new Xperia 10 with 3GB of RAM and an expandable 64GB of internal storage.
The new handset boots Android 9 Pie and runs on 2,870 mAh.
Xperia L3

The new Xperia L3 features a smaller profile and that includes a smaller screen measuring at 5.7-inch. It’s an IPS LCD Panel with 18:9 aspect ratio and an HD+ or 720p+ screen resolution.
For imaging, you’ll get a 13MP primary camera paired to a 2MP depth sensor. With this handware, Sony can also make you shoot videos in 1080p but SteadyShot is there to keep things stable. On the front, you’ll get the same 8MP camera like all other new Xperia devices.
An octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 powers the new Xperia L3 with 3GB of RAM and an expandable 32GB of on-board storage.
Despite Android Pie’s increasing popularity, the Xperia L3 is limited to Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Despite its more than capable hardware, Sony chooses a dated operating system which is a little puzzle in my opinion.
