Microsoft to continue supporting Windows 10 Mobile platform for many years with new devices coming soon

Concerns are growing as Microsoft’s new Windows 10 Mobile has gone into a down slope despite new advances in its operating system, there were also concerns that the Redmond giant isn’t catching up with the competition with no viable devices available to counteract other products. There hasn’t been really much new Windows devices in the market from Microsoft itself compared to the previous years after they acquired Nokia. Their latest flagship smartphone that sport the new operating system was the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL with a follow-up from an entry-level device the Lumia 550, that was last year and Microsoft haven’t updated their smartphone device portfolio ever since.
Despite the downfall, it looks like Microsoft still has the faith to bring itself back up and that seem to encourage the company and its partners with Microsoft committment to thrive in the mobile market space as it is also working on a new mobile devices that supports the new Windows 10 Mobile operating.
Microsoft’s Windows and Devices Group Terry Myerson recently sent out an email to several company executives and partners expressing Microsoft continued commitment on the Windows 10 Mobile platform with an except of that email found below:
I understand that you are hearing concerns from certain partners about Microsoft’s commitment to the mobile space.
Let me be very clear: We are committed to deliver Windows 10 on mobile devices with small screen running ARM processors.
We are currently in development of our next generation products and I wanted to reconfirm our commitment to Windows 10 Mobile. We believe in this product’s value to business customers and it is our intention to support the Windows 10 Mobile platform for many years. We have a device roadmap to support that from Microsoft as well as our OEM partners who will also be selling an expanded lineup of phone devices based on this platform.
Microsoft may have not been very successful with its acquisition of Nokia’s mobile division, the company is still pretty much alive on developing new mobile devices, if you could remember those rumors about the Surface Phone with the company itself giving hint of its imminent arrival. Though there has been no other information about the mysterious device, some insiders are absolutely confident that such device will become available in the market soon.
