Microsoft partners with Opera Mobile Store to be the default app store for Nokia phones starting 2015

The Nokia app store may already be dead by Microsoft who owns the Nokia mobile division now is giving Nokia devices a new breath of life as it official set the Opera Mobile Store as the new app store for these devices.

Microsoft signed a deal with Opera for the Opera Mobile Store as the default App store for Nokia devices which is still pretty much alive and well on the other parts of the world.  The transition is expected to complete by first half of 2015. Microsoft added that the change will enable millions of people using the Classic Nokia phone to continue having a trusted source for apps, games and contents.

Once the transition is complete, Microsoft will close down the Nokia Store and all Nokia phones including feature phones, Asha devices, Symbian smartphones and the Nokia X will be redirected to the Opera Mobile Store for all its apps, games and content needs. The Opera Mobile Store is currently holding 300,000 and more apps and games for thousands of feature phones and smartphones of all sorts with around 40,000 developers around the world contributing to the wide range of apps and contents inside the store.
