Microsoft announces new wireless keyboard that works with iOS, Android and Windows devices

Microsoft just announced a number of devices today, one of which is the new universal keyboard designed not only for Microsoft Windows powered mobile PC’s and tablets but also for devices with different operating system as well. Microsoft seems to waved the exclusivity of  its peripheral to its own system in favor of universal compatibility and with that, we’ll expect the new wireless keyboard to seamlessly work with Apple iOS devices and Android devices. But surprisingly the new wireless keyboard seems to forget itself to include Microsoft’s own Windows Phone devices.

The new Universal Mobile Keyboard features the following:

• Windows, iOS and Android operating systems support: Connect seamlessly to three devices with different operating systems without lose of functionality and offers a home key functionality for Android OS, Command key for iOS and Windows key for Windows powered devices.
• Integrated and detachable docking/stand.
• Easy on/off on opening and closing the cover.
• The peripheral’s external also serves as a Protective shell, keeping the innards safe while the user goes mobile.
• Rechargeable Battery with up to six months of usage in a single charge.

Microsoft’s Universal Mobile Keyboard will be available by October 2014 for a price of $79.95 or around Php 3,600.00 in the Philippines. Microsoft is expected to launched the peripheral first in the US and Canada, then other regions in the next few months.
