Now that Xiaomi is gaining momentum, the company is once again up a notch as Microsoft announced the availability of Windows 10 Technical Preview ROM for the Mi 4 at WinHEC (Windows Hardware and Engineering Conference) in Shenzhen. Microsoft have signed an Agreement with Xiaomi to provide product support and evaluation for the upcoming Windows 10 for Phones Operating System which Microsoft is set to release around the middle or later this year.

Though Xiaomi had already stated that the company wont be making devices with Windows OS at this point in time but with Microsoft’s assistance, the Mi4 device has become a new tool to test and evaluate all existing and upcoming Windows 10 features in a smartphone. Microsoft has already handpicked some Mi4 users to try-out Windows 10 TP for Phones and have confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi4 will support flashing ROM’s between Windows 10 and Android at user’s request.

There’s no word though as to what tools will Microsoft be providing for the installation of the Windows 10 OS on Mi4 but it seems that the two prominent components in the mobile business is doing what is needed to provide a seamless transition between platforms. While having Window 10 on Mi4 devices, users are expected to report bugs and share ideas as to what features that users would want on a mobile operating system that Windows 10 should have when they become officially available in market.
