Users of the highly popular Samsung flagship the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge have been itching to get their devices updated to the latest version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the operating system have already been into the wild for quite a long time already and other OEM’s already had their devices updated into Marshmallow. Unfortunately for Samsung, the phase isn’t that fast enough to roll out the update but the Korean tech company is making sure that the highly anticipated update will impress its users.

Android 6.0.1 update for the Galaxy S6 series are currently under testing, infact it’s already available to users under the beta program. It’s implementation of TouchWiz UI infused Marshmallow is said to have a significantly improved performance and has features that won’t disappoint waiting users. One of the key changes on the upcoming update is that Samsung have tweak the user interface and one significant and the most noticeable feature that we’ll see is now fluid the UI will be.

To achieve a smooth user experience, Samsung will apparently have to limit the scrolling speed of menus and inside apps to minimize artifacts resulting into a seemingly smooth user interface. The technique has been with Apple iOS for some time already and it looks like Samsung has taken a cue from Apple to make their own user interface improve its performance.

To make things clear, our source SamMobile has added a video showing the smooth scrolling in action, you’ll see how the user interface seems to perform like butter with no noticeable lag or whatever. Even at this beta stage, Samsung has already done an impressive improvements on its implementation of Android 6.0.1 and since this is still in its beta stage, expect more changes on the UI when the update is finally available to users.
