Man sets world record as the farthest journey by hoverboard in the Guinness World Records
Hoverboards is no longer a thing in a movie, though it became popular when the “Back to the Future II” film came out, it really didn’t made into a consumer product that the film had predicted and with what people had hoped for. Recently, some independent individuals and small companies are trying to make the film’s hoverboard in real-life. One from Canada, an inventor in the name of Catalin Alexandru Duru just made it into the Guinness World Records as the first made to made the furthest distance traveled with a hoverboard after achieving a journey across the Quebec lake.
Catalin Alexandru Duru’s hoverboard is a homebrewed prototype machine that is capable of travelling anywhere but the inventor usually tests the machine over waters because of how dangerously high it can fly (which is ironic considering that the movie joked that it can’t). Catalin also showcased that it is possible for one to have a stable flight on a machine with one man standing up and control the course by his feet just like in the movie “Back to the Future Part II”.
To achieved a world record, Catalin must at least travel a distance of 50 meters on a hoverboard to grab the title but as expected, the machine traveled a total distance of 275.9 meters which is 6 times further than the minimum distance required, Catalin just bagged the Farthest journey by hoverboard at the Guinness World Records. Though the machine really gains fans, it’s still undecided whether Catalin would put the device into production leaving us to in awe when thinking about real-life hoverboards.
