Microsoft promised to bring Windows 10 Mobile to users towards the end of 2015 but that didn’t happen, today Microsoft is finally making some patches and is rolling out the highly anticipated operating system upgrade to a limited number of users and devices. One of the first devices to get updated into the official Windows 10 Mobile build are the Lumia 640 LTE devices from T-Mobile in Poland. That isn’t so surprising for reasons that Poland seems to be one of the most favored regions in the globe to get into the action first become other markets get theirs not only with Microsoft devices but virtually other devices from competing brands as well.
Windows 10 Mobile upgrade for the T-Mobile variant of Lumia 640 LTE will be rolling out in batches starting today, however since the update will be available by Over-the-Air (OTA) update, it would take a moment to have all Lumia 640 LTE’s to be updated. In order to get the update procedure running, make sure that your device is set to check and download updates automatically. Otherwise, you’ll need to check for updates manually by going to Settings > Phone Update > Check for updates.
Once installed, user device will bear the software version 02177.00000.15184.36002 and obviously present users with a more mature and updated Windows 10 user interface. Since the update has started, we could then expect more carriers will follow and Microsoft will then update all other Windows 10 Mobile compatible devices in the wild in the next weeks or so.
