LG officially launched the Stylus-equipped LG G Stylo in Korea

Just before the company’s biggest announcement this year kicks-in, LG outs a mid-ranger device equipped with a stylus inside – meet the new LG G Stylo. Device currently exclusive for the Korean market, the G Stylo is a follow-up from last year’s LG G3 Stylus which is a smartphone device with a unique addition of a stylus. Though it doesn’t par with the Note series from the rival company, the stylus equipped G3 Stylus or the G Stylo together with its accompanying software apps does provide an affordable alternative in the mid-range segment.

The LG G Stylo makes use of an advance In-Cell Touch technology to provide a more accurate touch sensors, this allows the use a capacitive rubber-tip stylus to accurately makes use of the screen sensors and provides a virtual paper environment for the interface to work on various applications.

Spec-wise, the new LG G Stylo may not favor everyone’s taste as it doesn’t come with high-end specs that users usually look forward into, but with its built-in stylus and apps, it does provide a whole new experience that most enthusiasts find it compelling. As an upgrade from the G3 Stylus, the new G Stylo is equipped with a slightly larger screen at 5.7-inch with 720p HD resolution, a 5-Megapixel camera on the front and 8-Megapixel on the back.

On the inside, the LG G Stylo is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core processor, a 1.5 GB of RAM and  8 GB of internal storage space. It will also be the first of its kind in the mobile market to support a microSD card of up to 2 TB in capacity. All standard connectivity features are on-board including LTE. It comes with a large 3000 mAh battery and rocks Android 5.0 Lollipop with LG’s proprietary UX on top.

The new handset is currently available in South Korean but LG plans a global available set on May this year.
