LG launches new mid-range and entry-level devices in the Philippines

While waiting for the G4 flagship device to arrive in our shores, LG officially launched two new devices in the country, the mid-range LG Magna and the entry-level LG Leon. The two new devices was announced early this year and has been available in gradual phases market-by-market.

The Mid-Range LG Magna features a 5-inch display and is powered by a MediaTek processor with 1 GB of RAM. It has an 8 GB of internal storage space which can be expanded with a microSD card. It comes equipped with two SIM slots and features dual standby. Keeping up the device is the 2540 mAh removable battery and runs Android 5.0.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The LG Leon is LG’s new entry-level handset that packs a rather modest specs but still is able to perform well in most given conditions with its 4.5 inch display and 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor. Unfortunately for the Leon, LG has only provided a small 768 MB of RAM and a rather small 4 GB internal storage which could still be expanded with a microSD card. For the Philippine market, LG supplies Leon’s 3G capable variant with the 1900 mAh removable battery running Android 5.0 Lollipop as well.

The new LG handsets have already been up for sale just before the handset was formally launched in the country. Following LG’s directive in pricing schemes, distributors and officially told by LG that The LG Magna is priced at 10,990 Php while the LG Leon is priced not below 5,990 Php.
