LG G3 officially launched in the Philippines. Prices starts at 29,990 for 16GB | 33,990 for 32GB

After months of rumors and leaks, everything about the new LG G3 has been known eventually in several occasions until the company unveiled device a month ago. Here in the Philippines however, LG has just officially launch the new G3 locally with a tagline “Simple is the New Smart” and feature a new and much simple user interface and together with LG’s new smart features that sets a new benchmark in smartphone devices.
[ DESIGN + FEATURES ]
The new LG G3 poses a striking look and by the looks of it, users are sure to have a well rounded premium device right at the palm of their hands, from the beautifully crafted front panel and unto the back with the redesigned sinature One-hand operation keys on the back of the G3. The brushed metallic finish made the whole thing look luxurious and elegant with a clean simple outlook.
LG brings out a nice pixel packed display to the G3 with 5.5-inch IPS display with Quad HD resolution at a whooping 536 pixel per inch (ppi) pixel density giving out ultra sharp images.

Holding the device feels lightweight and much thinner thanks to the floating arc design that LG is incorporating which gives the effect of a much more thin feel when viewed on the sides. flowing through the back seems seamless with a brushed metallic finish surrounding the device. Together with the much more improved and ergonomically functional signature rear keys which have undergone a massive redesign for optimum usability in one hand operation.
LG has adopted a simple user interface design which has removed most of the unnecessary visual elements with icons set in different colors so users will find them easily. they have also merge several similar apps into one to reduce bloatware load and LG has enabled this apps to be user removable to help users recover storage spaces which are being used by apps that users are not using. The latter feature makes more sense and gives users the freedom to select their own set of apps which are useful to them.

LG’s new Smart features with Smart Notice has made the new notification area more intelligent with a suggestive feature based on the status of the phone, location and behavior. The Knock Code feature that let users set a customized knock code pattern on the screen to wake or put the phone to sleep.
With LG’s Quick Circle case exclusive for the G3 enables users to configure six most used apps for easy on-demand access without opening the whole device itself. the G3 also feature a wireless charging capability with a beautiful wireless charging stand which free itself from the traditional plug-in chargers that we currently have today. The device itself comes with a 3,000 mAh battery which gives more juice and uptime so users can be more productive than the average smartphones in the market with only 2000 mAh battery or less. What’s best is that the battery is removable giving users the freedom to swap battery packs for prolong use.

This device comes with imaging features that suites the fast-moving phase of the digital era. On the back sits the G3’s primary camera, if features a 13 Megapixel sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology that helps less blurry clearer images. If also comes with the industry’s first Laser guided Auto Focus technology. To assist in dark and low lighting conditions, the main camera is coupled with a Dual LED flash for a more clear pictures in dark areas. The front facing camera on the G3 is the standard 2.1 Megapixel camera that’s good for making video calls and taking selfies.
[ POWER + PERFORMANCE ]
The LG G3 packs a powerful set of hardware internals which made other people think it’s an overkill of a smartphone such as this. It has a 2.5 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and comes in two slightly different flavors according to the RAM+internal storage. One favors a 2 GB RAM with 16 GB eMMC and another one features a 3 GB RAM with doubled eMMC capacity at 32 GB. Both features a memory expansion of up to 128 GB with microSD cards. It also feature a 1W speaker for clearer sounds.
Though the G3 comes with impressive specs underneath, on the software side, the G3 features a simple UI with simplified design element which further boosted the performance of the device. It also brings a new user experience which is a step forward from what we had with LG devices for years. The user interface looks stunningly simple that navigating through is so easy and finding apps you love from the device is much more convenient with the unique color identities that most built-in apps have.

The LG G3 is now available nationwide with 4 color options: Metallic Black, Burgundy Red, Silk White and Shine Gold. The 2GB RAM|16GB variant is priced at 29,990 Php while the 3GB RAM|32GB variant comes at 33,990 Php. Hard Slim Cases and the Quick Circle case are also available and are sold separately.
