Lenovo unveiled the new Vibe Z2 Pro with 6-inch display and a large 4,000 mAh battery
Without much fun fair, Lenovo officially unveiled the new Vibe Z2 Pro, a significant update from its predecessor. Previous gen Vibe Z mocks a metal chassy but with Vibe Z2 Pro, Lenovo thought that it would be a good thing to give the successor a premium treatment. The new Vibe Z2 Pro stands proudly as the newest flagship device from Lenovo.
To start with, the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is housed in a full-metal brushed metallic unibody frame and packs a 6-inch 2KHD display with 490 ppi pixel density covered with Gorilla Glass 3 and a snappy Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-core processor running at 2.5GHz. It features a good Adreno 330 Graphics processing unit to help squeezed out the optimum performance of the beautiful large display. To further enhance usability, The Vibe Z2 Pro comes with a 3 GB RAM to give a boost in processing power and a built-in 32 GB of storage. Despite the premium packed features, the Vibe Z2 Pro failed to provide a memory expansion slot, and that would limit users within the built-in storage provided.
At 7.7mm thick, Lenovo managed to incorporate a large non-removable battery which runs in 4000 mAh, that’s more than enough for a regular day-to-day multitasking on a device. Unless you have all the time to watch your favorite movies and TV shows on the device then the Vibe Z2 Pro’s battery power should be well enough for a day. For regular users however where calls, messaging, browsing the net from time to time then the new Vibe Z2 Pro would easily give you more than a day before it needs to be plug.
If taking photos with your smartphone is your thing, then the Vibe Z2 Pro will very well fit your lifestyle. It comes equipped with a 16 Megapixel main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature and a Dual-LED flash to help capture images in low-lighting conditions. It is capable of taking 4K video recording which gives a high quality videos ready to be enjoyed in ever-increasing 4K display today. On front there is a 5 Megapixel camera for high-quality video calls and selfies.
The Vibe Z2 Pro comes with a number of connectivity features that includes a dual-SIM slot capable of fast wireless data connection through 4G LTE networks and HSPA+. When wireless connection service is out of reach, the device may connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot for internet access as it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Other nearby connection, sharing and pairing features includes: Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and microUSB with USB OTG support.
Out of the box, Lenovo ships the Vibe Z2 Pro with Lenovo’s Vibe UI 2.0 user interface on top of Android 4.4 KitKat and that includes all the new features on the new OS.
The new Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is expected to be available around September and will come in Titanium, Gold and Black color options. Lenovo haven’t announced its pricing and regional availability but we should have that information as the release day will come to a close.
