Things are going quite progressive lately with the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, while the current and the last generation of the device comes with a pretty radical design on its own, the upcoming Mi Mix 3 will be pushing its boundaries even further by adopting an all screen design.
That’s right, the Mi Mix 3 will do away with the chin that has been with the handset for the last two generations and this chin is where the front facing camera sits. Things will have to change with the Mi Mix 3 as the handset design takes another radical changes.
Xiaomi’s high-end handset will eventually come out soon as the company had recently unveiled a promotional poster about it and that recently leaked TENAA certification details.
Without getting further, here’s the alleged Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 in the wild:
As we can see, Xioami’s Mi Mix 3 will have a full and all screen experience, something similar to the handsets like the Oppo Find X or the Vivo NEX. There’s a small slit on top where the earpiece must be located but there is something significantly missing here and that’s the front-facing camera.
Since the front is all about the screen, the only thing that Xiaomi could do to bring the camera on the front is through a pop-up or something and that’s what we have speculated to happen here. Xiaomi might again adopt the Pop-up mechanism for the front facing camera module on the Mi Mix 3.
