Leaked image of LG Uni8 could be the company’s first Windows Phone 8.1 device

LG is set to launch the company’s first Windows Phone device as @evleaks revealed a purported image of a yet to be announced LG Uni8. This rendered image shows the design language that the company is following, yeah that’s right from the looks of it, it seem that the Nokia Lumia design has greatly inspired the company’s first entry to the Windows Phone ecosystem.
Given that Microsoft is now in full control of what remains with Nokia’s Mobility and Services division, Microsoft is now both a software maker and hardware manufacturer in which some analyst believe that this could raise a concern from other OEM’s but that doesn’t seem to stop other manufacturers from tapping into the world of Windows Phone. If we could remember correctly from the latest Microsoft Build 2014, Microsoft is giving away the Operating System to OEM’s for free with arrangements to these manufacturers in between. Though it’s odd for LG to jump back into Microsoft’s bandwagon, the fact the Microsoft has loosen their grip to the Windows Phone OS, means any manufacturer can now venture into the new ecosystem with minimum costs.
At this stage it’s very early to tell whether the specs and availability of the device, or LG would lunch such device. We’ll have to take this with a grain of salt until LG would finally reveal the existence of the device or until the company confirms other information that would lead to the existence of this upcoming device.
