Kodak to enter the smartphone business next year, smartphones will be unveiled at CES 2015
Kodak may be out from document and imaging business but they would enter into other ventures next year thanks to the recent trends. The company just announced that it’s licensing its name for devices to easily print and share images. Kodak is geared to unveil a whole new range of Android smartphone devices for CES 2015 and then 4G handsets, tablets and connected cameras toward the middle of next year. Kodak’s new devices will be produced by Bullitt Group which also build those rugged smartphones for Caterpillar.
Kodak is a highly recognized brand in the world when it comes to imaging solutions and that Bullitt Mobile CEO Oliver Schulte has taken into consideration to maintain the strong reputation of the brand by bringing quality hardware with an imaging-centric software applications. By creating a beautiful device paired with Kodak’s imaging expertise, the result is a device that would easily allow customers to take photos and then edit, share and print them easily in an instant.
The project sounds really promising by neither Kodak or Bullitt is spilling the beans as of late, so we still have no information as to what specs that Kodak devices has to offer until they’re finally unveiled few weeks from now.
