Live streaming on Instagram gets a little longer as the online service introduces extended Instagram Live session. The new upgrade will extend live streams up to four hours per session, that is up from the current one hour max.
To avail such feature, your account need to have a good standing reputation, that is, with no policy and intellectual property violations. So if you have the habit of streaming illegal contents on your IG account, then you’ll be limited to Instagram’s default limits.
Apart from this feature, Instagram will soon allow you to archive your streamed contents up to 30 days and this will work similar to Stories and Posts from your feed.
As users can now save and share their streams on IGTV, steams from the archive can also be sent to IGTV as well. Instagram is also looking forward to update the Live Now section on IGTV and at the end of the stream to help you find streams that fits you and your follower’s interests.
