There were reports that Huawei is in talks with various prospects to sell its P and Mate series smartphones. This rumor came after Huawei had successfully sold its sub-brand Honor a couple of months back.
But like what happened when the Honor was rumored to being sold to a new owner, the new rumors about Huawei’s negotiations on selling the smartphone series to other company had Huawei refuting such claim and instead the company issued a statement on Chinese local media that it has no plans to sell its mobile phone business and that it will continue building high-end phones.
As everyone might have remember, Huawei is barred from any dealings with any companies that relies on US tech and that mainly includes chipset builders such as Qualcomm, MediaTek and TSMC who’s in charge of building the HiSilicon chips which up to now are not allowed to sell equipment’s to Huawei.
