Finally, HTC’s One (M8) has finally arrived on Windows Phone. First seen as the company’s flagship device on Android, the One (M8) proves it can do things the same on Windows Phone. Called as HTC One (M8) for Windows, the Windows Phone variant is exactly the same as its Android counterpart but it’s running the latest Windows Phone 8.1 from Microsoft. Currently offered exclusively on Verizon, the HTC One (M8) for Windows might as well reach other region probably if the user acceptance proves to be a success in the US.User’s should specify the One (M8) for Windows if they wanted the Windows Phone powered variant otherwise they’ll be getting the other variant instead, so specifying (which is which) is need here where confusion on customers would arise as the name scheme makes things a little complicated.

The HTC One (M8) for Windows has a 5-inch full HD display with the signature BoomSound dual-speaker setup, is powered by Snapdragon 801 making it as the fastest Windows Phone device to date. It also comes with 2 GB of RAM, a 32 GB built-in storage and a microSD slot for memory expansion.

It has retained the One (M8)’s 4 Megapixel duo-camera setup with a proprietary HTC Imagechip 2 for the Ultrapixel technology to work. It can also record full-HD videos with HDR capabilities and a 5 Megapixel camera on the front for a perfect selfie shot and high-res video calls.

For connectivity, there is LTE support, CDMA, 3G and 2G wireless connections options and a barrage of other connectivity options that includes; Bluetooth v4.0 with apt-X, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac with Miracast, microUSB and NFC.

Being a Windows Phone means users can use the “Project My Screen” options which mirror the phones interface to Windows 8 machines. It also comes with HTC One’s news feed reader and social networking app BlinkFeed.

The new HTC One (M8) for Windows starts at a promotional price of $100 from Verizon and comes with HTC Advantage program that works as a limited lifetime warranty just in case users will crack their display and HTC can replace them for free.
