HMD Global’s new affordable handset heads to the market just in time for the holiday season with the relaunch of the Nokia C series.

The Nokia C1 is HMD Global’s new line of Android Go powered device. It resembles and shares some of the specs of the Nokia 1 Plus .
It has a 5.45-inch IPS Display but reminded though that it has a mediocre 480 x 960px resolution and may not favor everyone but should be fine with those looking for a phone that just works to communicate.
For imaging, both the primary back camera and its Selfie shooter is a 5 Megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 Aperture lens and offers Auto Focus on the back and Fixed Focus on the front. Both sensors are support by a dedicated LED flash for low-light shots.

Processor details are scarce but it’s a quad-core processor running at 1.3GHz. There’s 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space which can also be expanded though microSD cards.
A disappointing fact about the Nokia C1 is that it only support 3G connection so don’t expect speedy web experience on Carrier data. There’s Wi-Fi though which can alleviate the situation.

The handset comes with 2500 mAh battery that should work through the day and charges via microUSB. It runs Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) and includes an FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The new Nokia C1 is available on Emerging Markets today with a price that equals to just US$59.00.
