Since Huawei cant use Google Mobiles Services (GMS), the company can’t have any Google apps as they primarily need GMS to work like Google maps for example which have become a must have with any smartphone these days.
Without Google Maps, Huawei is left in the void, but as Huawei’s own AppGallery expands and populates, HERE WeGo is here to fill the space as a viable alternative to Google’s offering.
HERE WeGo was formerly HERE Maps originally developed by Nokia. As HERE becomes independent, it successfully landed on Huawei’s AppGallery where the Chinese company was looking such app for so long.
The App features a familiar maps functionality including Walking directions, Public Transport, Turn-by-turn navigation and a reliable offline navigation in around 1,300 cities on 100 countries around the world.
The new app can now be downloaded on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) powered devices through Huawei’s AppGallery (Please head over the source below).
The AppGallery is Huawei’s own App download service alternative to Google Play where users can download and install apps for their Huawei devices. The new AppGallery is young but the amount of apps available are increasing that common apps found on Google Play are most likely available in AppGallery now as well.
