Hello Kitty in not a CAT, Sanrio revealed.

This isn’t anything technological but it seems that this has gotten my attention lately and decided to share it with everyone. We have lived with cartoon characters since childhood and I bet every person has their cartoon character favorite of their own.

On particular character that I’ve known since my childhood is hello kitty, and I bet we all believe that the cutesy character is a cat, and Who else who’d say that hello kitty is something else? None of us isn’t it?

Well, Perhaps this news will change our perception with the Cartoon character that lived for so many year and yet we still don’t know its true self until today. This was revealed recently after Christine R. Yano – an anthropologist at the University of Hawaii who is curating a Hello Kitty Exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum in LA.

After Sanrio the official copyright holder and owner of Hello Kitty and friends proofread one of the texts in the exhibit from which Yano mentioned that Hello Kitty is a cat. The anthropologist revealed that she was approach by Sanrio and corrected her. As Miss Yano told the Los Angeles Times “That’s one correction Sanrio made for my script for the show. Hello Kitty is not a cat. She’s a cartoon character. She is a little girl. She is a friend. But she is not a cat. She’s never depicted on all fours. She walks and sits like a two-legged creature. She does have a pet cat of her own, however, and it’s called Charmmy Kitty.”

After many years of existence, the Hello Kitty that we’ve grown up with and what was believed to be cat isn’t a cat at all but a British girl name Kitty White and is the daughter of George and Mary White.
