It’s been a while since rumors circulated about Google’s Pixel 6 phones and now the company just straight out confirmed the upcoming Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro including some details that might help us get excited more with the handsets.
A few of the details that Google shared about the next Pixels is that the two Pixel 6 variants will be available in eight countries at launch and that includes: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, the UK, and the US. The company didn’t set specific dates of the launch though but suggests that customers will soon be able to purchase these new handsets by September or in the Q4 of 2021.
While most of the specs are still under wraps at the moment, Google did confirm however that the upcoming devices will be powered an in-housed built Tensor chipset and will run Android 12 out of the box.
As for other information about the Pixel 6 devices, the vanilla version of the handset will be built around a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ display have a 90Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 6 Pro on the other hand will feature a 6.7-inch display wit will Full-HD+ resolution but with a higher 120Hz refresh rate. Both variants sports a single punch hole on the display for the front-facing camera.
Like all other Pixel devices, the Pixel 6 series will also maintain a minimalistic design with a noticeable horizonal camera module in the back. This camera module for the Pixel 6 series will house a Wide-angle camera and a Ultra Wide shooter with the Pixel 6 Pro to include a 4x Telephoto.
