Google finally outs the affordable Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL

Google finally has a budget phone on their own and it’s in the form of the new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. Both devices embodies many of the Pixel 3’s feature-set with the design reminiscent to the regular Pixel 3 device. what’s great about the new Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL is that even though they are targeted towards the mid-range market, Google still built the Pixel 3a’s with the same camera hardware as the more expensive and more powerful Pixel 3’s.

Among the two variants, the Pixel 3a XL is the larger with a large 6.0-inch OLED display with full-HD+ resolution and is covered by a Dragon Trail glass. It doesn’t have a notch like the Pixel 3 XL and we think it’s better this way than having to deal with a notch or something on top. What makes it obvious though is the noticeable bezels.

Now, the new Pixel 3a XL is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset together with 4GB of RAM and a non-expandable 64GB of storage., something that one has to deal with Google smartphone devices.

Good thing if one would opt for the Pixel 3a XL is the larger battery which has a 3,700 mAh capacity in it, giving users more screen time and activity on the handset before it needs to be recharge.

Camera on the Pixel 3a XL is the same as the Pixel 3 with a single 12.2 Megapixel sensor on the back featuring a bright f/1.8 Aperture lens, 1.8-micron pixel size and an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). On the front, users will have a 8 Megapixel Selfie camera with an f/2.00 Aperture lens. These imaging hardware are driven by Google Camera with the same level of features as the more premium offering from Google.

The smaller Pixel 3a on the other hand comes with a 5.6-inch OLED display with the same full-HD+ resolution screen as the Pixel 3a XL. By its smaller size, it also shipped with smaller battery rated at 3000 mAh. But thankfully though the both the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL supports 18W fast charging so in cases it gets low on battery, it shouldn’t take a while filling it up through the wall socket.

Keeping the price lower on these new devices, Google uses Polycarbonate to build these phones but surprisingly, it brought back the 3.5mm headphone jack together with the stereo speakers up front. And the squeezy side gestures? yeah it’s there as well.

The new Google Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL will be available in Just Black, Clearly White and Purple-ish with color accents on their power buttons.

As for the price, the Pixel 3a XL costs $479 while the Pixel 3a is up for $399 and are now available where Google sells their phones.
