GCash to charge Cash in services from Mastercard/VISA bank cards

For those who uses GCash for just any transaction, the mobile payment system provider has informed its users that the platform will impose a 2.58% convenience fee for Cash-in transactions through VISA/Mastercard bank cards which sounds rather inconvenient for long time users.

The new fee will start on July 06, 2020 and will users will be charge on top of their Cash-in request. This went on to be implemented as GCash partners have increased their service charge for every transaction.

While this affects the aforementioned electronic payment system bank cards, Both BPI and Unionbank Cash-in service through the GCash app will remain for free. Banks with InstaPay services will also remain to be free until further notice.
