Instax Pal 2
Fujifilm has brought the instax Pal 2 to the Philippines, giving fans of compact cameras a new way to capture everyday moments. First announced in September, the pocket-sized digital camera was introduced locally on October 17 alongside the instax Link WIDE 2 smartphone printer.
The instax Pal 2 takes a different approach from traditional instant cameras. It captures digital photos instead of printing them immediately, so users can take pictures and transfer them to a smartphone for editing and sharing. Its updated design adds a built-in viewfinder, physical controls, and a small LCD screen, making it feel more like a classic camera despite its compact size.

There is more to it than simply taking pictures. Users can choose between 10-megapixel and 1-megapixel shooting modes, apply up to 30 creative effects, and select from four formats: instax mini, SQUARE, WIDE, or no frame. Its Animation mode can also combine up to 10 consecutive shots into a flipbook-style sequence. Photos can be transferred through Bluetooth or USB Type-C and printed using compatible instax Link printers or hybrid cameras, with instant film sold separately.

The Fujifilm instax Pal 2 is priced at ₱10,599 in the Philippines and comes in Black and White. It’s worth considering for people who enjoy taking casual photos and want a small camera they can bring almost anywhere. However, those who want physical instant prints straight from the camera will need a compatible printer like the new Link WIDE 2 smartphone printer which is sold separately.
