Last week, gasoline prices already saw an increase, and unfortunately, the bad news continues for next week. Not only will gasoline prices rise again, but diesel and kerosene prices are also expected to go up as well, a trend consistent with past price movements.
While the increases for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene won’t exceed ₱1.00 per liter, this upward trend signals that market conditions may worsen in the coming weeks. For now, here are the estimated price adjustments expected next Tuesday:
- Gasoline: Php 0.50 – 0.70 per liter increase
- Diesel: Php 0.30 – 0.50 per liter increase
- Kerosene: Php 0.10 – 0.30 per liter increase
Industry experts attribute the upcoming price hikes to movements in the international market during the first four days of trading sessions, which were heavily influenced by the ongoing geopolitical conflict between Russia and Ukraine and uncertainty surrounding the peace negotiations between these two nations.
