DOH announces higher number of recoveries over deaths since COVID-19 outbreak began in the Philippines
DOH released COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #30 at 16:00H (4:00PM PST) on April 13, 2020.
The country has a total of 4,932 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country as the Department of Health reported 284 new cases this afternoon.
Today also records the highest number of recoveries reported since the epidemic began in the country with 45 new recoveries recorded. The total of patients recovered from the disease is now at 242.
The DOH also reported 18 new deaths as of total and that we now have a death toll of 315.

COVID-19 was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
There are no vaccines or direct cure for the disease at the moment and the only way to protect ourselves from getting infected is to practise proper and frequent handwashing, avoid touching our face, mouth, nose and eyes. Our health experts strongly suggests that we wear face masks as much as possible.
