If you are serious about photography and you got a budget to spare then you should consider getting a drone, not only it gets you a bird’s eye view of your subjects but also takes you places beyond your reach.
Thankfully, DJI just launched their new DJI Mini 2, a foldable camera drone that shoots 4K and has the size small enough to fit in the packet. This makes the new Mini the smallest drone that DJI has released so far.
The new drone is lighter too, with just 249 grams weight to it and is capable of up to 31 minutes of flight time and a maximum altitude of 4,000 meters.
For image capture, the new Mini 2 is equipped with a 12 Megapixel with a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and features 4x Zoom and 4K video recording at 30fps with a maximum bitrate of 100 Mbps.
It comes with an OcuSync 2.0 transmission tech for optimum drone to remote control connection with dual-frequency technology for a seamless switching between channels with virtually no interference to fly farther and see more places.
It is also equipped with a 3-axis motorized Gimbal for a consistent and smoother image quality may it be with photos or in videos.
The new DJI Mini 2 can be connected to a mobile device trough a DJI Fly app which get users controls for both image recording and other controls for the drone that paired nicely with the remote controller.
The app also comes with a built-in photo optimization that enhances the image quality after downloading. And when the drone is close to your smartphone it automatically connects to the phone and downloads selected photos and and videos from the drone at 20MB/s.
The DJI Mini 2 comes with a remote controller and a battery in standard box for US$ 449 however, there’s also a DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo which includes two more batteries, a charging hub and a carrying case at a retail price of US$ 599.
