COVID-19 cases now at 3,094 in the Philippines

DOH released COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #021 at 16:00H (4:00PM PST)

There are 76 new cases of COVID-19 in the country which brings us to a total of 3,094 confirmed cases.

With the new number of confirmed cases, the health department also reported 8 new deaths with our death toll now at 144.

Five from those infected has recovered from the disease that totals to 57 recoveries in the country.


COVID-19 was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.

There are no vaccines or direct cure for the disease at the moment and the only way to protect ourselves from getting infected is to practise proper and frequent handwashing, avoid touching our face, mouth, nose and eyes. Our health experts strongly suggests that we wear face masks as much as possible.
