DOH released COVID-19 CASE BULLETIN #69 at 16:00H (4:00PM PST) on May 22, 2020.
Since the outbreak started, the Department of Health now has a total of 13,597 confirmed cases in the country, this is after 163 new COVID-19 cases were reported today.
The health agency also reported 11 new deaths today bringing us to a total of 857 deaths due to COVID-19 in the country.
Our number of recoveries are noticeably lowers for the past few days and that seemed to continue today with 92 new recoveries bringing us a total of 3,092 recoveries so far. As far as these numbers are concerned, the current active COVID-19 cases in the country is sitting at 9,648.

COVID-19 was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
There are no vaccines or direct cure for the disease at the moment and the only way to protect ourselves from getting infected is to practise proper and frequent handwashing, avoid touching our face, mouth, nose and eyes. Our health experts as well as the government urged everyone to wear a suitable and effective face mask as much as possible and when outside of our homes.
