Lunchboxes aren’t my favorites but my family love them though. So much so that every time we go to work, go on picnics or just headover next door, we share food though containers that we often refer to as lunchboxes.

Food inside our Lunchboxes gets cold onward as time went down, we packed our food warm at home then when it’s time for us to eat, it is already cold. Some would reheat them if there’s a reheating equipment around but oftentimes there isn’t so we’re left with a cold food to munch.
But what if we have a lunchbox that reheat out food automatically? A Dutch startup did took that concept literally and made the Heatbox, a new generation lunchbox that keeps our food warm while on the go. It uses steam to keep the food warm so it that the food inside doesn’t get all dried up.
The box itself isn’t your average-sized lunchbox though, it measures 9.4 x 6.1 x 1.3 inch. It’s a bit chunky but should fit on most backpacks.

How it works is like this. from the outer shell, the Heatbox comes with an inner container and an inner lid to keep everything inside, then it needs around 30 ml of water for it to work. It comes with a built-in battery pack and charges through a USB port.
turning on the Heatbox is easy with a press of a button on the front or through its companion app from a smartphone. The Heatbox has a default 8-minute heat time but that can be customized on the smartphone app. And get this, it can even charge a phone.

The new project is on Kickstarter since November and has already raised around $90,965 from 581 Backers. Customers can order one on Indiegogo for $144 (Regular price at $207) at the moment. The project is currently in Prototype and is on demo at CES 2020.
