On Tuesday night, the Department of Health in Central Visayas reported a massive COVID-19 new cases in the region with 249 coming from Cebu City, 22 new cases from Lapu-Lapu and 28 from Mandaue City.
In provinces, the province of Cebu got 96 new cases while Bohol got 30 and Negros Oriental with 6.
Reported recoveries a still from Cebu with a total of 70 new recoveries. As for the number of deaths, Cebu City reported 1 new death while the rest of the region has none.
The total active cases in the region has now reached 4,825 as cases surged dramatically after the holiday season.
