Capcom
While everyone was enjoying the wave of remakes and VR developments in the Resident Evil franchise, Capcom suddenly dropped a major teaser trailer for the next installment: Resident Evil Requiem. And there’s no better place to introduce the next chapter than at Summer Game Fest 2025.
The story follows FBI agent Grace Ashcroft as she investigates a series of mysterious deaths caused by an unknown disease. Her journey recalls key events from previous Resident Evil games, with familiar locations like the ruined police station in Raccoon City making a return. In one unsettling moment from the trailer, Grace is seen strapped to a stretcher—hinting at a possible connection to the Umbrella Corporation and raising questions about how she ended up there.
By the way, here’s the trailer:
Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled to launch on February 27, 2026, with a demo becoming available this August at Gamescom, which will be held in Cologne, Germany.
