While most manufacturers are going head on with 5G, others like iQOO is taking a side step offering 4G for its low-cost devices. This is true as iQOO just announced the new iQOO U1 powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset.

Built around a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ display, It supports HDR10 and comes with a 20:9 Aspect ratio and has a single punch hole on the upper left that houses the 8 Megapixel front-facing camera.

With cameras, the iQOO U1 comes with a triple camera sensor on the back and is oriented vertically. It’s primary sensor is a 48 Megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor with a f/1.79 Aperture lens and has Dual-pixel AF. Supporting the primary sensor is a 2 Megapixel macro camera and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor.

For other features, the new U1 comes with the usual including: WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS and also an NFC. It does have a fingerprint sensor and is mounted on the power button.

The new iQOO U1 comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 64GB and 128GB storage respectively. Sadly though, the new smartphone doesn’t offer any storage expansion so users would have to stick on what the device offers. It boots on iQOO UI that is based on Android 10 and is kept running on a 4500mAh battery that supports 18W wired fast charging through a microUSB port.

Available in Black, Blue and White color options, the iQOO U1 will go on sale in China starting July 23rd with a price of CNY1,198 for the 6GB/64GB variant, CNY1,398 fo the 6GB/128GB and CNY1,598 for its 8GB/128GB version.
