As BlackBerry has the reputation as one of the best in mobile security in the industry, the aircraft manufacturing company Boeing partners with the mobile phone maker to release a high-security Android phone for itself. Called the Boeing Black Phone, the partnership aims to deliver an Android-based handset that features a multi-layer of encryption in virtually all network-based data as well as in-phone application data with the ability to self-destruct in cases when the phone detects tampering or opening by brute force. It’s a crucial feature designed specifically for highly sensitive data in cases when the handset is lost or stolen.

Early reports suggest that the Boeing Black Phone won’t be coming into the mainstream market but rather to Government agencies and other Businesses where sensitive data protection is the top priority. Boeing is also said to offer its upcoming handset to business partners so it won’t to time that long to see the new handset available in the wild.

According to BlackBerry CEO John Chen, Boeing’s Black Phone will incorporate the BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES) 12 which will allow clients to manage and secure not only BlackBerry devices but also devices within the internal network either with Android or iOS operating systems. Though we’ve been deprive to get as much information as we can get from the project, what we know currently is that the handset will have a Dual-SIM slots to enable it to connect into multiple carriers and can be configured to connect with bio-metric sensors and satellites.
