The Asus Zenfone 2 series has done well in the mobile market thanks to its welcoming and fairly affordable prices. However, Asus made a lot of confusions lately with their marketing gimmick of giving their devices a universal name despite their differences in terms of specs, but the company is now trying to resolve those hurdles as they now make a distinctive identity to their upcoming devices.

The new Asus Live handset was officially unveiled in Brazil and with no doubt of it, it’s a Zenfone whichever angle you look. The design language is the same as the Zenfone series and even the specs are familiar with the Zenfone series and it’s basically a Zenfone Go. The newly announced handset will be an entry-level device that will have an even more affordable price that’s for sure, that would also suggests that the specs will have to match for its value as well.

Starting off with the display, the new Asus Live is given a 5-inch IPS 720p screen. The handset is powered by a MediaTek MT6580 chipset coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage. For mobile photography, the Asus Live comes with a basic 8 Megapixel main camera and feature an f/2.0 aperture with LED flash, right on the front is also a basic 2 Megapixel Selfie camera and it should serve well enough for your daily Selfie and even gives a high-resolution images for videos and video calls.

The new Live handset comes with Dual-SIM feature however, unlike the Zenfone Go, the Asus Live won’t be supporting LTE connectivity but it comes with 3G/HSPA+ and 2G/GSM wireless connectivity support which isn’t a bad thing at all. Aside from these wireless features, the Live handset also comes with basic connectivity features includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS support, 3.5mm audio jack and USB 2.0 on microUSB.
