Apple celebrates the Year of the Ox with a limited edition AirPods Pro

The Lunar New Year is fast approaching and to celebrate the New Year of the Ox, Apple is selling a limited edition of the Apple AirPods Pro with a special Ox icon engraved to its charging case and also printed on its packaging.

The catch though, Apple is only selling this special units in Asia which includes China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and in Malaysia. The good news is that, these pairs of AirPods Pro are sold at the same price as the regular variant (without the engraving).

The Ox-edition AirPods Pro are listed for RMB 1,999 or roughly around US$310 and are limited only to 25,400 units with 11,480 units are set to be sold through retail stores while the rest are to be sold online.

Furthermore, Apple is limiting a maximum of 2 pairs for each customers that is to prevent resellers from selling these AirPods Pro most likely at a higher price.

For customers outside of Asian region that these variants are sold, Apple can get an engraving from Apple Store and selecting Ox from list of emojis available is one of the closest they’ll get to celebrate the Year of the Ox.
