The rumored Apple AirPods Pro has finally been revealed and is a step up from what Apple had with its current generation AirPods. The new AirPods Pro though is not a direct replacement to the second generation AirPods but an all new peripheral on its own.

Feature-wise, the new AirPods Pro comes with an IPX4 water proofing meaning it could go on with sweat and splash easily. What you can’t do however is take the ear buds to the pools, but walking, running and even under the rain should do just fine.

One of the new additions to the new AirPods Pro over the second-gen AirPods is the new noise-cancellation feature, a feature that’s long-overdue for such wireless earphones.

It comes with two microphones to make that feature possible, one on the outside and the other one on the inside, since the new AirPods Pro uses an in-ear design, these two microphones works together to help bring the most pleasant experience.

The outside mic monitors the ambient sound and create an inverse audio signal to isolate it. The internal mic monitors the sound inside the ear buds and automatically adjust the amount of noise cancellation.

The AirPods Pro comes with three silicone tips which you can use into your liking, it provides an instant noise isolation even before its noise-cancellation feature kicks in. There’s also a vent system on the each earbud to equalize the amount of pressure within the ear. This helps to ease comfort for the wearer, something that’s missing from most in-ear tipped earphones.

Another features which likely is most welcomed is its Transparency feature which blends outside sound with the audio you are listening. This enables the wearer to hear sounds like beeps in traffic, announcements and even hear your friends talking with the AirPods Pro on.

The stalk on the new AirPods Pro is pressure sensitive and comes with a number of gestures to work with. A press and hold would toggle noise-cancellation and Transparency mode or press once to play or pause your music, press twice to move to the next track or trice to skip back.

The new AirPods Pro uses an H1 Audio processor that provides low-latency, processes noise cancellation and enables Hey Siri request on the fly. It comes with a custom high-excursion audio drive with a new high dynamic range amplifier.

Unlike the Apple AirPods, the AirPods Pro comes with a newly designed case, it’s not water resistant though but it comes with a built-in battery and provides up to 24 hours of audio. The earbuds has a 5 hour of music listening and 4.5 hours if noise cancellation is on and 3.5 hours of talk time.

Just opening the case near your iOS device would easily pair the AirPods pro with your device and pulling out or putting the buds into your ears would automatically play and pause whatever you’re listening into. That’s a little neat trick right there.

The case also supports wireless charging so you don’t need to have another case for that but there’s always that option where you can charge your case through a wired connection by lightning cable.

The new AirPods Pro will be available in over 25 countries with a price of US$249.00 or equivalent from where you are beginning October the 30th.
