LG finally rolls out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the G Pad 8.3. I was about to take the tablet for a spin when a new update notification popped out from the screen and then I went on to install the update. According to sources, LG rolled out G Pad 8.3 Android 4.4.2 KitKat to devices in europe and in the US and it seem that the Asian region gets into the list as well.
LG opted to jump high from Android 4.2 to Android 4.4 while skipping Android 4.3 in the process as the company made sure that existing devices should be treated with the latest version of the OS, that choice may be very well indeed a smart move from LG. According to forum sites, after the update, G Pad 8.3 devices with the latest KitKat update has significantly boost in performance, I have noticed it myself that my own personal device is now more snappier than before the update was installed.
The new Android 4.4.2 update brings out new features on the device, Google Now is the new Home Screen, WiFi printing support for HP’s ePrinters and Google Print users, emoji integration on Google’s native keyboard, built-in word processing software and more. Aside from the standard Google services, LG also includes its own set of features designed specifically on LG G Pad 8.3 especially the much known Knock Code and further system performance improvements.
If you’re an owner of such beautiful device but have not yet notified regarding the update, head over to Settings > About > Update Center > Software Updates > Check now for update to manual check for any existing update if your device have not perform an automatic update check recently.
