The much awaited update for the Samsung GALAXY SIII is now rolling out. Skipping Android version 4.2 in favor of 4.3. The Korean tech giant promised a better future with Android 4.3 and is suggesting that this update will bring a lot of changes into the system, and as promised, Samsung is now updating its previous flagship device after the they have done updating the latest generation flagship device the GALAXY S4. Users have been waiting for this official update to come out for months, some opted for leaked firmware builds just to taste the latest iteration of Android OS for the GALAXY SIII and now that wait is finally over.
The new Android 4.3 update maybe a small incremental update to the core Android OS, Samsung managed to incorporate new features and improvements taken from the GALAXY S4. Though both flagship devices may have the same set of apps and features to date, the GALAXY SIII still uses the old launcher unlike that is found on the GALAXY S4.
This update is its first wave of deployment and as expected there are regions where the update may still not be available but it will be as Samsung is rolling out the update in phases. Carrier lock devices may have a bit of a delay compared to open line devices so it will be wise to turn on automatic updates or you may check for new updates manually from the phones settings option.
