The Department of Health (DOH) issued COVID-19 Bulletin No. 167 on August 28, 2020. This bulletin reports a total of 3,999 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
With this number together with yesterday’s figure, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country today is now at 209,544 with a Death toll of 3,325 after 91 new reported deaths were added.
This bulletin also reports 510 new recoveries and that makes our total number of recoveries to 134,474.
With these figures calculated, the Philippines now has a total of 71,745 active COVID-19 cases on record. More info about this Bulletin is detailed in the infographic down below:
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.
