BlackBerry devices have been heralded as the top gun in the mobile industry for business not only that the original BB devices had the most secure system during its days but also the signature keyboard that sets itself special among the rest. However as smartphones proliferate in the market, the significance of the BlackBerry device slowly fades from the limelight as mobile phone giants such as the Apple iPhone and Samsung devices dominated the stages in all market segments. In fact BlackBerry even tried to cope up with the times and released the BlackBerry OS 10 but that seems too is a failure which didn’t work out quite well in today’s generation of users.

But all hopes should be restored as the Canadian company is set to launched the much awaited Android powered device soon, known as the BlackBerry Venice. The alleged handset is somewhat similar to the Z10 but with a sliding physical keyboard, is said to be the hero phone the company needs in order to restore its significance. Rumors and speculations regarding the alleged handset has been online for sometime already but nothing has proved its real existence up until recently, someone managed to show off some design elements of the handset and just a few days ago someone from Taiwan with the name Ba Minh Duc who’s allegedly having a working prototype of the phone on hand and manage to shoot some pictures of it running Android OS.

From the photos provided by our source, it shows some of the notable elements on the handset with one obviously the sliding signature BlackBerry Physical keyboard, the large touchscreen display. It is also said to sport an 18 Megapixel main camera accompanied by dual LED flash. The new live images of the Venice, unlike the previous leaks and renders, the power button has been relocated into the side of the device, the top would also house both the SIM tray and the microSD slot so there would be a lot of changes going on with the new prototype than what was previously anticipated.

As rumored previously, the BlackBerry Venice as seen here is running Android OS. From the way it looks, the handset is more likely be running Android 5.x Lollipop but if this would push through and here’s hoping that it would probably will, We’d like to see the BlackBerry Venice boot the next version of Android with Android 6.0 MarshMallow when it launches.
