Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi will hold a launch event this coming July 22. This is in connection with the rumored MI 4 which will have to take over the place of the company’s current flagship handset the MI 3. The current MI 3 has been welcomed both critics and users where Xiaomi have put up quite a number of high-end specs in an affordable price. The company is also anticipating a warm welcome for its new and upcoming flagship device.
Things gets more excited when the company showed an invitation with each letter on the front cover being made out of metal. And just recently, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the company will indeed introduce an all metal device but posting an image on Weibo. The upcoming handset is said to feature a Grade 304 stainless steel and he also added that the steel material being used in the production of the handset have high resistance to corrosion and rust, extremely malleable but tough.
Specs regarding the alleged MI 4 flagship device is scarce but according to rumors, the MI 4 will likely feature a 5-inch full-HD display with Snapdragon 801 processor, a 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage space. It also comes equipped with 13 Megapixel main camera and a 5 Megapixel front facing.
