Acer outs the new Liquid Zest Plus, with bigger screen, higher capacity battery and a 13 Megapixel main shooter

At a brief media event held in New York, Acer announced a few laptops, new gaming machines and the new Liquid Zest Plus smartphone. For now, let’s take a look at the new handset from Acer.

The liquid Zest Plus is a follow on the new Liquid Zest announced in February. The new Plus variant of the handset comes with few upgrades evidently its larger 5.5-inch display compared to the Liquid Zest’s 5.0-inch. Also, there’s a new 13 Megapixel main shooter on the Zest Plus with Tri-Focus feature, we’re not really familiar with this feature as of yet but the name itself is pretty self-explaining. The front snapper stays at 5 Megapixel with wide-angle lens. The new Acer Liquid Zest Plus is also gifted with a massive 5000 mAh battery giving user hours to enjoy the device without worry the need to plug-in the handset to the wall from time to time.

The handset is designed for the mid-range market and comes with a MediaTek MT6735 SoC with 8-core Cortex-A53 processors running at 1.3 GHz, there’s a Mali-T720 GPU along with 2 GB of system RAM. Storage space is 16 GB in capacity with a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The handset runs on the latest Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Acer’s few customization on top.

The new Acer Liquid Zest Plus will be available for $250 in the US SIM free.
