Acer announced the new and budget-friendly Liquid Zest series devices with 5-inch screen

Together with the new Liquid Jade 2 mid-range flagship device, Acer is also introducing the new Liquid Zest and the Liquid Zest 4G handsets. The two shares the same 5.0 HD IPS display and features Zero-Gap and On-Cell technologies. It comes with Acer’s BluelighShield feature which reduces bluelight emission for a better viewing comfort.
Both handsets almostshares all the same featureswhich only separates them mostly notably by their connectivity support and processors. The regular Acer Liquid Zest comes with a 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6580 chipset with Quadcore processors and only comes with 3G and 2G wireless connectivity. TheAcer Liquid Zest 4G on the other hand as the name suggests supports 4G/LTE connection but also includes 3G and 2G connectivity as well and comes with a little under-powered chipset with Quadcore MediaTek chipset running at 1.0 GHz.
The two devices also comes with an impressive audio output thanks to DTS, the Liquid Zest features DTS Sound Studio while the Liquid Zest 4G goes for a more premium offering with DTS-HD Premium Sound but unlike the more powerful Liquid Jade 2, the Liquid Zest series does not support Play-Fi streaming technology.
As for the rest of the specs, they pretty much mirror each other. like its 8 Megapixel main camera with LED flash and autofocus and a 5 Megapixel camera mount on the front for Selfie and Video calls
The two new handsets will be available starting this April and with a price starting at109 Euros and will be rolling out first to Europe, Middle East and Africa. Other regions will gradually have the units available soon after it becomes available on EMEA countries.
