At 4:00PM Philippine Standard Time today, the Department of Health (DOH) released COVID-19 Daily Bulletin No. 74 for May 27, 2020. This report Includes the Total Number of Cases, Recoveries, Deaths and Number of Total Active Cases for the past 24 hours.
The DOH reports 380 new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines with a total of 15,049 confirmed cases recorded. We also have 18 new reported Deaths were it brings our Death toll to 904.
The number of recoveries today is increased by 94 which brings us to a total of 3,506 reported recoveries. With these numbers, the number of Filipinos having an active COVID-19 infection has increased to 10,639 were most of these number are coming from the NCR with 254 new cases, 2 from Region 7, 34 are repatriated OFW while the remaining 90 of cases are coming from other regions in the country.

COVID-19 was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a Pandemic on March 03, 2020 which started in Wuhan, China. The disease is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) with a Flu like symptoms such as Fever, Cough, Colds and in more severe cases Difficulty in Breathing.

As the world awaits for a vaccine for COVID-19, the only way to protect ourselves from getting infected is to practise proper and frequent handwashing, avoid touching our face, mouth, nose and eyes. Our health experts as well as the government urged everyone to wear a suitable and effective face mask as often as possible and when outside of our homes.
