After the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, Samsung vows to make things right for the Galaxy Note 8. As the Galaxy S8 now available in the market, it’s time for us to focus on the next highly anticipated handset from Samsung and that’s the next Galaxy Note device. Despite the early demise of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung reiterates that it will continue the Galaxy Note series and is said to call it the Galaxy Note 8.
Just as soon as Samsung confirmed that they are working on the next Galaxy Note device, rumors and speculations rose which gave us hints on what to expect on the upcoming flagship and how the Galaxy S8’s design will influence the S Pen equipped device. From what we’ve known so far, the Galaxy Note 8 might resemble the now larger Galaxy S8+ with minute Note specific design features including the signature S Pen and its port and its curvatures.
With all those rumors in mind, we came along with what seems to be the closest design concept that we can get for the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. It features an infinity display like the Galaxy S8 but this one has much wider display and sharper edges which translate both ergonomics and balance design, it’s like a Galaxy Note 7 combine with the Galaxy S8. It also includes the virtual navigation keys but there’s a noticeable speaker grill at the bottom.
Notice also the signature S Pen port at the bottom still and another speaker grill at the base, though we aren’t sure about this changes but we’re sure to find out soon as there are also some speculations that the handset might also feature stereo speakers. There’s also the 3.5mm headphone jack far left and a USB-C port at the center. At the top, there you’ll find the usual sensors including a front-facing camera and an Iris scanner which debut with the Galaxy Note 7 last year. On the back, the concept also emphasized a dual camera main sensors at the back accompanied by an LED flash and a heart-rate sensor.
From what the concept holds, there’s no fingerprint sensor at the back which we assume that the handset would incorporate an in-display fingerprint sensor and on the side, you’ll notice the presence of the dedicated Bixby button.
This is though a concept design with the final design to be concluded by Samsung but if the Galaxy Note 8 would somewhat looks like this, I for one would be ready to get my hands on this device. Until then, take this video lightly as Samsung might have something else different on its mind.
